Underwater noise is becoming an increasingly important consideration for marine infrastructure, ports, offshore energy, vessel operations and environmental assessment. Clients need practical ways to understand existing ambient sound conditions, assess anthropogenic noise sources, review vessel acoustic signatures and support marine fauna detection where appropriate.
GAIA Marine’s capability includes autonomous underwater recorders, seabed deployment systems, vessel-based measurement approaches, controlled QA/QC and clear technical reporting. These tools can support a range of applications, from baseline passive acoustic monitoring through to construction noise assessment, vessel noise characterisation and environmental monitoring programs.
